This ten day trip offers the opportunity to explore the dramatic volcanic landscapes of Sicily's Aeolian Islands and Mt Etna. The seven islands that make up the archipelago are named as UNESCO World Heritage Sites; the reasons why will become apparent once you see them: black sand beaches, thermal springs and active volcanoes. During this experience we trek will onto Vulcano and Stromboli and take in the culture and allure of the area.

On the mainland of Sicily, we will trek up Mount Etna (3350m), the highest active volcano in Europe with an incredibly dynamic landscape. Lava flows and vast plains of black sand at the summit contrast with the green and fertile slopes below. We will also see some of the loveliest Sicilian towns, most of which are also included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. As a part of traveling about these towns, we will inevitably experience the Sicilian friendliness and hospitality. This trip to Sicily offers a great mix of interesting walks, challenging treks, town visits and great food - all in 10 days.
