Transfer from Nairobi to Masai Mara
After arriving at Jomo Kenyatta Airport early in the morning, clear immigration and customs before meeting your driver for the road trip to the Masai Mara. Depart Nairobi, heading southwest through the Great Rift Valley, where you can enjoy stunning views of the escarpments and possibly stop at scenic viewpoints for photos. As you travel, pass through small towns and villages, giving you a glimpse of local Kenyan life.
Upon arrival at Sarova Mara Game Camp, check in and take some time to freshen up. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at the camp's restaurant, taking in the beautiful surroundings. Spend the early afternoon relaxing, perhaps taking a dip in the pool or exploring the camp's amenities and grounds. You may also choose to visit a nearby Masai village to learn about the local culture and traditions.
In the late afternoon, embark on an evening game drive. This is a prime time to experience the abundant wildlife and stunning landscapes of the Masai Mara. Your guide will help you spot various animals, including the Big Five. As the sun sets, return to the camp for dinner and unwind after an exciting day, ready for an overnight stay at the camp.
